Insider’s Edge:
Trevor Dailey just turned 20 before the season, and although still young, he has plenty of expectations.
“Trevor brings great energy, is very fast and can create a lot on the ice,” said one source. “He’s very offensive minded.”
The Stars have already called up Trevor twice from Utah in 2003, and our sources think it’s only a matter of time before he stays with the NHL club.
“He has the opportunity...If he makes most of them, he might not be back.”
Insider’s Edge:
Mike Cammalleri came to the Kings organization following an excellent career at he University of Michigan.
Cammalleri got off to an excellent start last year in Manchester, earning a promotion to the Kings in November of 2002.
He seems to have recovered from a knee injury he sustained following a solid training camp, earning another call-up this fall.
If he keeps playing well for the Kings, Manchester may have already had their last look at Cammalleri.
Insider’s
Edge:
Jiri Hudler, 19, has already been up and down from Detroit twice this season, appearing in seven games with the Red Wings.
Hudler is described by one source as, “an incredible player. He has the total package and is a very exciting player to watch.”
Like most young Europeans, he needs ice time to get adjusted to the North American game, so he could be in Grand Rapids on and off all season.
